Academic Testing Center
The Academic Testing Center will open on the following schedule effective September 6, 2022 unless otherwise posted:
- Mondays: 8:00am-11am; 1pm-7pm
- Tuesdays: 8:00am-11am; 1pm-7pm
- Wednesdays: 8:00am-11am; 1pm-7pm
- Thursdays: 8:00am-11am; 1pm-7pm
- Fridays: CLOSED
The Academic Testing Center is located on the 2nd floor of the Wayne Learning Center building, room 216A.
Due to reduced hours, staffing, and to maintain strict social distancing in the ATC, all testing will be by appointment only. If you need to make-up a test, please email the ATC at acadtestingcntr@waynecc.edu. You MUST provide 24 hours (1 business day) notice to schedule a test. If you require accommodation testing, you must provide 48 hours (2 business days) notice to schedule a test. Students with an accommodation wishing to take a test without the accommodation in the ATC must sign a waiver, though they are still required to schedule an appointment. All tests must be accompanied by a referral from your instructor.
Please note that the ATC email account is not monitored when the center is closed; if you send an email after 7pm on Thursday, your email will NOT receive a response until the center reopens the next week.
As a part of our gradual increase in testing services, we have resumed testing services for community members. Please provide the following: Day(s) and Time(s) you are available (during the above hours of operation), name, school affiliation, phone number, and name of test you would like to schedule. ATC staff will contact you to schedule the test.
In the event that WCC is CLOSED, the Academic Testing Center will also close. This includes holidays and fall/spring break.
Please note that placement testing is conducted in Counseling Services, please call (919) 739-6732 to inquire about placement testing. GED and Pearson Vue testing is provided by the GED program. They can be reached at 919-739-6904 or 919-739-6921.
