Transfer Scholarships
The College Transfer Advising Center hopes to provide students with additional resources for success. Listed below are scholarship opportunities available for transfer students. This is by no means a comprehensive list of all the scholarships available for students. One additional resource to check for scholarships that might be available to you is the College Foundation of North Carolina.
NC State Goodnight Scholars
North Carolina State University describes the Goodnight Scholars Program as the following, “The Goodnight Scholars Program, funded by a gift from Dr. Jim and Ann Goodnight, began in 2008 with 25 scholars. Since that time, it has grown into a comprehensive student development program designed to develop scholars into leaders within the STEM and/or education fields. The scholarship is available to low and middle-income families from North Carolina and is limited to students studying in the STEM disciplines or affiliated education majors. The value of the scholarship is $22,000 and is renewable for up to four years for first-year students, and three years for transfer students. In addition to the scholarship, Goodnight Scholars have access to an assortment of developmental programming focused on their professional and personal growth.”
Please visit the NCSU Goodnight Scholars website for additional details.
Phi Theta Kappa
If you are a Phi Theta Kappa member there are several scholarships available for you to apply to. As Phi Theta Kappa’s website says, “Scholarships are the #1 reason students join PTK. Here’s why. We offer two types of scholarships to help students complete an associate degree and prepare for transfer to a four-year college. Nearly $1 million in competitive scholarships are offered through PTK’s Foundation to support students to complete a degree.”
