SKYWARN® spotters are volunteers who help keep their local communities safe by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the National Weather Service.
The training is provided by the National Weather Service. Participants will learn basics of thunderstorm development, fundamentals of storm structure, identifying potential severe weather features, information to report and how to report it, and basic severe weather safety.
The training is free. No pre-registration is required.
