Current Operating Status
Instruction
WCC is conducting as many Spring 2021 courses as possible via synchronous online delivery. Others are being provided as hybrids (a combination of in-person and online instruction). Those courses and labs that are being taught face-to-face have reduced capacity to ensure distancing between individuals.
Beginning Monday, Aug. 10, 2020, all who work, study, or conduct any business on the campus or in its facilities must pass through a drive-through COVID-19 screening tent. The questionnaire-and-temperature-check screenings will be required of every person, every time they enter the campus or the college’s portion of the Wayne Executive Jetport.
As of June 26, 2020, Wayne Community College began requiring that students, employees, and visitors wear face coverings when on campus except when safely distanced outdoors. This directive will remain in place until further notice.
CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund
The Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES) was signed into law to provide financial support (economic relief) to students who were impacted by the interruption of classes due to the pandemic emergency.
